I first came across Kate Chopin in high school, right after experiencing Jane Eyre and Jane Austen. Needless to say the timing was perfect and so were the many essays written by Kate Chopin. A "Pair of Silk Stockings" is my favorite and was originally publish in Vogue in 1897.
